PON after unification between Press Chautari and Press Centre

Kathmandu : A taskforce formed for the unification between Press Chautari Nepal and Press Centre Nepal has decided to name the integrated organisation as Press Organisation Nepal (PON). The taskforce meeting held on July 31 determined the name after giving the final shape to the interim statute of the organisation, reads a press release issued today. The organisation also decided to keep offices, secretariats and committees in all level for the interim period.
As per the provision of the statute, the central committee would have 225 members along with Chairperson and General Secretary, 125-member provincial committee along with Chairperson and Secretary, 35-member district committee along with Chairman and Secretary and nine-member branch committee along with Chairperson and Secretary.
Similarly, there would be 15-member Disciplinary Commission along with Chairpersons and Secretary. Names of the members to be inducted in central committee and commission would be recommended within the next three days.
