Chief Minister Poudel praises role of the media

Hetauda : Chief Minister of Province No. 3 Dormani Poudel has said that media should play effective role to safeguard the country’s sovereignty. At a programme organized by the Federation of Nepali Journalists Makawanpur chapter on Monday, Poudel said that journalism should serve as a bridge between the people and government.
Poudel said that the government has implemented the projects with national pride for the nation’s economic development and prosperity and urged one and all to rise above partisan interests for a prosperous province.
Asking the stakeholders to unite by shunning the ideas of shifting province capital somewhere else from Hetauda, the chief minister asked the media for healthy criticism if the activities of the government were not in the interest of public.
On the occasion, Internal Affairs and Law Minister of the Province Shalikram Jammarkattel, province assembly members Munu Sigdel and others asked the media for responsive, objective and factual news dissemination.
