Lahan : Two people were killed and seven others injured when a bus hit motorcycle over the Surunga Bridge of Surunga Municipality-5 in Jhapa district along the East-West Highway today morning. Motorcyclist Mohammad Majalum Miya, 65, of Surunga Muncipality-5 and pillion rider Rame Pashman, 45, from the same locality died on the spot when the high-speeding bus collided with the motorcycle, according to Area Police Office, Kadarbonab.
Police Inspector Surendra Kumar Shrestha shared that incident took place when the bus (Ka 1 Kha 4934) heading towards west from east hit the motorcycle (24 Pa 6425). The bus had lost the control as it hit the two-wheeler.
All seven people travelling in the bus sustained injuries. They were receiving treatment at the health facility in Lahan, informed Inspector Shrestha.RSS
