Beijing: The coronavirus has once again knocked in the city of Wuhan, China. Four new corona patients have been found in Jiangxia, a district of this city. After which the administration imprisoned 10 lakh people in their homes as a precaution. Wuhan is the same city where the first cases of coronavirus were reported in the last months of 2019.
From this city, coronavirus infection spread all over the world and since then it has taken millions of lives. Authorities in Wuhan’s Jiangxia district said they have imposed a lockdown for the next three days in the main urban area with a population of more than 970,000 people after four cases of the corona were detected.
According to a government statement, entertainment venues such as bars, cinemas, and Internet cafes – including small clinics and markets in the Jiangxia district – have been closed. From demonstrations to conventions, restaurant dining and large gatherings are immediately banned. All places of worship were closed and religious activities were banned. Educational institutions and events attracting tourists have also been stopped. Besides this, all public transport from buses to metro services has been suspended in the district. Residents have been urged not to leave the district unless absolutely necessary. Strict instructions to people to stay in homes, no exit.
Officials have also identified four high-risk areas where residents are prohibited from leaving their homes. Apart from this, four places have been identified as medium-risk areas. Residents here have been barred from stepping out of the compound of their societies or houses. The purpose of these restrictions is to further reduce the movement of people, reduce the risk of infection and achieve the goal of zero-covid in the shortest possible time, the statement said. Four cases of Kovid infection were discovered late Tuesday night in Jiangxia district.
Soon after the incident, the authorities announced a ban in the entire district. Two of these cases were identified during routine testing, while two others had tested positive after coming in contact with the infected. China has adopted strict rules and regulations regarding the prevention of corona from the very beginning, yet the cases of corona in the whole country are not stopping completely.
