Tokyo: There is a fear of monkeys among the people of Japan these days. Officials said that the monkeys are being caught and killed. On Tuesday, these monkeys injured 50 people in Yamaguchi. The authorities caught the monkey who was the most aggressive. This monkey was present in a high school and it has been caught by poachers in ambush.
First, it was pacified by giving medicine, and then it was caught by poachers. This monkey was later identified as the main monkey responsible for the attacks. It was the fussy monkey of the monkey gang who was attacking.
The authorities were looking for the monkeys for the last several days. Three weeks ago in Japan, the terror of monkeys scared everyone. These monkeys are targeting children and adults. The injuries caused by monkey attacks are not very serious. According to the news agency AFP, reports of such incidents are coming so far and the remaining members of the gang are being searched.
According to an eyewitness, all the monkeys in the gang are of different sizes and there are reports of attacks even after many monkeys have been caught. The monkey that has been caught is said to be 4 years old and it is about 1 foot 7 inches tall. In Japan, the species of macaque monkeys can be seen in many parts of the country.
These monkeys sometimes eat the crops and sometimes enter the houses. But the attacks in Yamaguchi are being described as extraordinary.
An official said that it is very surprising that such attacks have been carried out in a very short time. Initially, these monkeys were targeting children and women. But after that, they started targeting old and adult men also. Efforts to catch them by netting in the first week of July proved unsuccessful.
After this, the police had to patrol to nab them. A gang of monkeys had entered a house a few days back and injured a 4-year-old girl. At the same time, a monkey entered the kindergarten classroom. The increase in the population of macaque monkeys in Japan is also proving to be a headache for the authorities.
