New Delhi: Britain has approved the vaccine for the Omicron variant. With this, Britain has become the first country to make a vaccine for the Omicron variant. Giving information about this, the news agency Reuters said that Britain’s drug regulator (MHRA) has approved the ‘bivalent’ vaccine made by Moderna as a booster for adults. The agency explained that the vaccine was based on clinical trial data showing that the booster triggered a “strong immune response” against both Omicron (Ba.1) and the original 2020 virus.
Britain’s drug regulator told the media on Monday that it has approved an updated modern vaccine against the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. It has proved effective on the Omicron variant as well as the original form of the coronavirus. The Medicines and Healthcare products regulatory agency said in a statement that it had approved the vaccine for its booster dose for adults.
Moderna Vaccine has met all UK regulatory standards for its safety, quality, and effectiveness. Along with this, this vaccine has shown excellent indications of a strong immune response against the Omicron variant as well as the original form of the virus.
MHRA CEO Jun Raine told the media, “Test data showed that this vaccine was found to be effective against two Omicron subvariants, ba.4 and ba.5. Due to these new variants of the corona, there was a rapid increase in new cases of corona in Europe and America.
The side effects of the Moderna vaccine are the same as the original Moderna vaccine before. June Raine said, “The Kovid vaccine being used in the UK protects against this disease and the risk of death due to its use is negligible.
