The metropolis is not in the game of losing anyone – Mayor Sah

Kathmandu: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Sah (Balen) has said that the metropolis is not playing the game of losing anyone. He said this while mentioning the sufferings faced by the metropolis during the collection, transportation, and final disposal of garbage.

Taking the garbage was not easy even today. The road was blocked under the leadership of the local leaders of the ruling parties. It was seen that the local leaders of the opposition parties UML and RPP also supported it. Today, giving information about the garbage transportation and final management at the sanitary landfill side, Mayor Sah says, “More than 200 policemen were mobilized and the garbage trucks were taken away.” An attempt was made to create a barrier by hiding from some groups and firing bullets. Because of this, only 203 garbage trucks could be taken to Banchare Danda today.

Stating that the problems experienced and seen so far are only superficial, Mayor Sah has mentioned that there are other deep reasons. The state has invested more than 5 billion, why does it have to make such a fuss to take garbage to a place where it has been planned for almost 2 decades? Why is it possible for locals to hide and shoot security personnel? Why does the entire state structure become so innocent?” is the question of Mayor Sah.

There are some weaknesses and some mistakes here. Due to the carelessness in Sisdol and the bad condition of that area, it is not unusual that the locals cannot trust anyone. But we want to assure that we will not commit crimes by repeating the past. Expressing his commitment, Mayor Sah says, “It will definitely take some time. The metropolis is sensitive to the scientific management of Sisdol and the sustainable use of the ax. We will abide by the agreements we have made. We expect the same sensitivity and honesty from all sides.
