Rome. Right-wing leader Giorgia Meloni has become Italy’s first female prime minister. With this, a new government of the Brothers of Italy party has been formed in Italy. Georgia, 26, and his cabinet ministers were sworn in on Saturday. Meloni’s party, which got only 4.13 percent of the votes four years ago, got 26 percent of the votes this time.
This is the first time that a right-wing leader has held the office of prime minister in Italy since World War II. The Georgia Party is a supporter of the Italian dictator Mussolini. Not granting asylum to immigrants and opposing and rejecting homosexuals were Georgia’s election agendas.
