Israel. The counting of votes continues after the general elections in Israel. 85% of the votes have been counted. According to early trends, former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party may register a victory. The Likud party could get 31 seats, and with the radical right-wing and ultra-Orthodox Jewish parties, they could manage to win a majority.
There are 40 parties that are not getting even 3.25% vote turnover, so they will not be able to reach Knesset (Parliament). Experts believe that if Netanyahu wins, the work of a wall built to stop the Palestinians can proceed. Netanyahu believes that a wall is necessary to effectively implement a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
There are only 8 women in the Netanyahu block, as ultra-conservative parties do not give tickets to women. While there are 30 women in the present government. It will be the first Knesset in 30 years to have no representatives of the Druze minority, minority.
