Zahedan, Iran. After the hijab in Iran, now the phase of protest against Islamic rule started. People have started violent demonstrations against the repression being carried out by the government. People are shouting slogans against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khomeini. Slogans of ‘death to the dictator, death to Khomeini’ were raised in Zahedan, the capital of the Sistan-Baluchistan province.
People demand that Khomeini be given the death penalty. At the same time, women protesters said that we do not want such a government, which kills children. On Friday, a large number of people also gathered at the graves of protesters killed by security forces to mark 40 days.
The protesters say that now this fight is not only to end the compulsory hijab but to end Islamic rule. We are demanding full and democratic rights for women. Till our rights are not given, we will continue to protest on the streets.
In Iran, 22-year-old Mohammad Gobadlu has been sentenced to death by the court. He protested against the government. After being arrested, he was tortured. The judge sentenced him to death without providing a lawyer to defend him in court. Human rights groups claim that 100 protesters have been sentenced to death so far.
