Kathmandu: Lyricist Sundar Panta has recently released a new Teej song titled “Kailashbata Hami Duiko Selfie Hanideu” on YouTube, coinciding with the great festival of Nepali women, Haritalika Teej. The song captures the spirit of Teej by incorporating awareness-raising messages, diverse cultural elements, feminist sentiments, and a family-oriented context.
This message-oriented Teej song—featuring lyrics by Sundar Panta, music by Suvarna Shrestha, and the melodious vocals of Simran Pariyar and Sundar Hang Rai—was recorded by Hari Sayami, with music arrangement and mixing and mastering handled by Rajiv Shah. The song was recorded at String Studio.
Directed by Taravir Pandey, the music video features performances by Pavitra Acharya (Paola) and Prakash Jung Karki. he video features cinematography by Sunil Raut and choreography by Pavitra Acharya. Sushil Dangi handled editing and color grading, Nishan SK created the graphics, Riyon Mahat managed the still photography, and Som Magrati handled makeup.
Veteran singer and composer Tara Bir Pandey directed the video, with choreography by Pavitra Acharya (Paola). Producer Kabita Panta stated that the song attempts to portray the cultural and familial aspects of Teej, while also highlighting women’s sentiments and raising awareness.
