Kathmandu: Samajwadi Party leaders are ready to contest the provincial and representative assembly elections on the Maoist center’s election symbol. In today’s meeting, the chairman of CPN Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal and the chairman of Nepal Samajwadi Party Baburam Bhattarai agreed to unite the party.
In the meeting held this morning between Prachanda and Bhattarai, it was agreed to contest the election on the same symbol. Both parties have agreed to form a socialist alliance and go jointly with a single election symbol. They are going to contest the election from the same party after 6 years.
It has been agreed between the two leaders to enter the election field with one manifesto, a common proportional list, and one symbol. This agreement is yet to be approved by the Standing Committee meeting of the Maoist Center. However, Dahal has already briefed most of the party’s top leaders about this.
