Kathmandu: Politburo meeting of CPN (UML) has ended. The meeting ended by unanimously approving the resolution passed by the standing committee. Gagan Bisht, Secretary of UML Central Propaganda and Publication Department has informed through a press release that the meeting held at the party office Chaisal, Lalitpur under the chairmanship of President KP Sharma Oli was concluded with an in-depth discussion on the current national politics.
Addressing the meeting, President Oli shed light on the issues of national politics and international situation, and the upcoming general election mentioned in the political report. The President’s political report will be presented at the meeting of the Central Committee on Friday. The meeting decided the topics to be presented to the Central Committee.
In the meeting, the process and criteria for selecting candidates for the upcoming House of Representatives and State Assembly elections were discussed. Politburo members Khimlal Bhattarai, Sumanraj Pyakurel, Leela Bahadur Thapa, Ramdayal Mandal, Niru Pal, Shanta Chaudhary, Karna Thapa, Jitu Gautam, Manju Chaudhary, Lalbabu Pandit, Kashinath Adhikari, Khagraj Adhikari, Binda Pandey, Agni Kharel and Krishna Rai included in the political report in the meeting.
