Dadeldhara. The ward committee in Dadeldhura, the home district of Prime Minister and Chairman of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba, has announced to boycott of the upcoming elections.
The ward committee of the Nepali Congress of Bhageshwar Rural Municipality-5 has decided to boycott the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections to be held on (November) Mangsir 4. Ward Chairman Jang Bahadur Thapamar has said that the decision to boycott the election and not to vote for any candidate was made by the majority as there is no basis for faithfully fulfilling the demands placed for the overall development of the ward. President Thapa Magar has announced this by issuing a notification.
In the state assembly and representative assembly elections, it is informed that the decision to not vote for any candidate who boycotted the election has been passed by a majority vote when there is no basis for faithfully fulfilling the demands made by the ward committee for the development of the entire ward,” said the statement issued by Thapamargar.
It is also mentioned that the Ward Committee will not talk to the district-level leaders but directly to Prime Minister Deuba regarding addressing those demands.
