Beijing: Despite strict restrictions in China, the havoc of the coronavirus is increasing continuously. On Sunday, 25000 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Shanghai, the financial capital of China. After which preparations are being made to impose a lockdown in many big cities of China including the capital Beijing. The local health commission said the rapidly increasing cases in Shanghai are a matter of concern.
Out of these, 1,006 cases were in which symptoms of the corona were seen inside the patients, the remaining 23,937 infected did not have any symptoms of the corona. Shanghai has reported nearly 180,000 cases since the beginning of March.
Due to the rapidly increasing corona infection in Shanghai, the burden on health services has increased significantly. Despite having mild symptoms, people are being admitted to hospitals, due to which patients are finding it difficult to get beds. Due to the crowd of corona patients, many hospitals are facing problems in the treatment of other diseases. In most hospitals, except in an emergency, their services have been stopped for other diseases. Not only this, due to the blockade of the city, people are not able to go to other cities in the country for treatment.
The streets of Shanghai look completely empty due to the lockdown. Only medical, police, health workers, and deliverymen are exempted. Apart from this, people coming out under special circumstances are being allowed only after getting the nucleic acid test done. After which many posts related to the lack of food in Shanghai were seen on China’s social media platform Vivo. Users have also spoken of people protesting, after which the local administration and police have tightened the restrictions.
