Kathmandu – Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Tanklal Ghising, has said that there is no doubt that the 9th National Sports Tournament will be held on time. Member Secretary Ghising mentioned that preparations have been made for adoption as per the date set by the Council of Ministers and also urged the residents of Gandaki province to get ready for their adoption.
Speaking at a press conference organized by Nepal Sports Journalist Forum, Gandaki on Monday in Pokhara, he mentioned that there are many physical infrastructures in Pokhara, which has completed the 13th Saag and also expressed the belief that the necessary drafts for various sports venues have been received and will be finalized soon. He also informed that 407 events of 36 games will be played in the competition which is a national festival from Sshoj 28 to Kartik 3.
Member Secretary Ghising also clarified that the game will be considered a competition only if at least 4 teams from different 11 teams participate.
On that occasion, he said that all 11 teams should select their players and send them to Rakep byBhadra 15. The first place in the competition will get 25,000 and the first place in the team will get 15,000. Also, those who break the national record will get 50,000 rewards. Member Secretary Ghising informed that preparations are being made for the opening and closing of the competition at Pokhara Stadium. According to Rakhep, the work of making a trophy worth 10 lakh rupees (silver studded) for the competition is going on and the trophy will be delivered to all seven provinces.
