New Delhi: Blast in Kabul Mosque News: A big bomb exploded in a mosque in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Around 20 people are reported to have been killed and around 40 injured in the blast. On the blast, Kabul’s Emergency Hospital tweeted that a total of 27 people injured in the blast have been admitted, out of which 3 people have died.
According to the information, this blast took place inside the mosque present in the Khair-Khana area during the prayers of Wednesday evening. The Imam of the mosque died in this blast. The police say about the blast that it would not be appropriate to say anything about the number of people killed and injured at the moment. At the same time, a Taliban official told the news agency Reuters that about 35 to 40 people were injured in the blast. In addition, Al Jazeera quoted an unidentified official as saying that at least 20 people were killed in the blast, whose number could increase.
An eyewitness to Reuters about the intensity of the blast told Reuters that the blast was so strong that the windows of houses in the area around the mosque were shattered and the sound of the explosion was heard far in northern Kabul. At the same time, another eyewitness said that the blast was carried out by a suicide bomber.
After the blast, Taliban security personnel surrounded the entire area and the injured were being shifted to different hospitals. At present, no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the blast. But since the Taliban came to power, the hardline terrorist organization ISIS has been continuously targeting Shia mosques by carrying out bomb blasts and terrorist incidents. However, this time the area where the bomb blast took place is neither a Shia majority nor a mosque, Shia.
Let us tell you, the Taliban said on Wednesday that they captured and killed Mehdi Mujahid trying to cross the Iran border in Herat province. The Mujahid was the commander of the Hazara community, the only minority in the Taliban.
