G-20 Summit: Biden’s 3-hour meeting with the Chinese President, both decided not to do nuclear war

New Delhi. Chinese President Xi Jinping met US President Joe Biden for almost three hours today. This meeting was considered very important during the Russia-Ukraine War. Both countries decided that nuclear war should be avoided at all costs. This decision is not right from the point of view of Russia, because Russia had recently threatened nuclear war.

The remarkable thing is that Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin are considered together on the global front. In such a situation, Jinping’s stand is a blow to Putin. During the meeting with Jinping, Biden also raised the issue of Taiwan. He said that China’s interference in its neighboring country is a threat to global peace. He said that China should avoid such antics. The two leaders have known each other for a decade

Earlier, during the meeting between Joe Biden and Xi Jinping, when they appeared in front of the cameras, they smiled at each other saying this and told each other that it was nice to see you. China’s Xi and Biden have known each other for more than a decade, but Monday saw them face-to-face for the first time in their current roles.

Xi has had five phone and video exchanges since Biden took office in early 2021, but Monday’s talks would be their first in-person since 2017 when Biden was Barack Obama’s vice president. The last time Xi met the US leader was Donald Trump in 2019. Relations between the world’s largest economies have deteriorated since Biden took office over the economic competition, human rights issues, and rising tensions between China and Taiwan. Washington and Beijing are at loggerheads over issues ranging from trade to human rights in China’s Xinjiang region and the status of the self-governing island of Taiwan.
