According to health experts, BF.7 is the most powerful version of Omicron spread in China. It is making sick people who have been previously infected, fully vaccinated or both. It spreads quickly and symptoms appear sooner than older corona variants. The reproductive number of BF.7 is RO.10.18.6. This means that one patient is able to infect an average of 10 to 18.7 people at a time. The average RO of the Omicron variant is generally found to be 5.08. Perhaps this is the reason why the cases of corona in China are doubling in hours, not in days.
Symptoms of BF7 include chills, cough, fever, sore throat, vomiting, and diarrhea. It can be fatal for patients with weak immune systems. Due to strict restrictions in China, people have not been able to develop immunity against the virus.
