UAE. Nepal won the first match of the triangular ODI series under ICC Men’s World Cup League-2. Nepal won by defeating Papua New Guinea by four wickets in the match at Dubai International Ground in UAE. Nepal has completed the target of 204 runs given by Papua New Guinea with the loss of 6 wickets in 45.2 overs.
In Nepal’s victory, Kushal Bhurtel scored 56 runs off 69 balls while Asif Sheikh contributed 22 runs off 39 balls. Similarly, Arif Sekh scored 33 runs, Dipendra Singh Airi scored 22 runs, Rohit Poudel scored 20 runs and Kushal Malla scored 12 runs, while Gyanendra Malla and Sompal Kami scored only 4 and 5 runs respectively. Batting earlier, Papua New Guinea scored 203 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. For Nepal, Gulsan Jha took three wickets, Kushal Malla took two, and Sompal Kami, Karan KC, and Pratis Ji took one wicket each. A batter was run out by Kushal Malla.
