CPN-UML President Oli, it is unfortunate that the country withdrew the case against the student who beat Professor

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli said it is unfortunate that the country that laid the foundation of culture and civilization withdrew the case against the student who beat the professor. Addressing the 22nd annual celebration of Bhandari Memorial College, he objected to the withdrawal of the case against Tribhuvan University Vice-Professor Prem Chagane for beating him.

It is a great tragedy that a country like ours, which has a civilization like ours, a country that says ‘Guru Devo Bhava’, breaks the Guru’s back, breaks his head, breaks his ribs, and shows bravery. By encouraging such people, the government withdraws the case. Why is it not possible to beat professors, he said, “Teachers are not of our kind, students are of our kind, and the government says that it is possible to beat a master of our kind.” The case will be withdrawn.

He said such persons are only students’ names and not real students. In that too, students are only in name, they are not students. They are outside the street. We should avoid this kind of culture,” he added. Stating that the work of the government is regrettable, he said that it is sad that the culture of beating gurus has developed in a country where gurus are regarded as gods.
