Kathmandu. To operate the toilets in the petrol pumps as free public toilets, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City is going to provide cleaning and hygiene materials to 50 of them. An agreement was signed between the Public Private Partnership Unit of the Metropolitan Municipality and the Bagmati Petroleum Dealers Association on Friday. The agreement was signed by Narendrabilas Bajracharya, the head of the unit, and Achyut Bahadur Khadka, president, on behalf of the association.
The cleaning supplies include white fennel, black fennel, dana fennel, harpic, urine pad, mop, khareto, wafer, muff, bucket, soap, door mat, Dettol, handkerchief, room spray, dust win, toilet paper, choline, jam opener. Comes with a pump, bag of soap, and toilet brush. These items are given in tin boxes. According to Bajracharya, head of the unit, 300 free public toilets will be added in the current financial year. In this process, an agreement has been made with the Association.
According to the contract, the pumps are not allowed to charge or encourage the customers to buy goods if they use the toilet. They will not be allowed to keep any promotional materials in public toilets. The pumps must provide the water required for the toilets, cleaning, maintenance, and disposal.
