Two soldiers were killed and four others were injured when unidentified gunmen fired indiscriminately at a bomb disposal team in Ankara Dam area of the port city of Gwadar district on Sunday. Baloch rebels are suspected in the incident, but no group has yet claimed responsibility.

According to the report of Monday’s Dawn newspaper, the incident took place while the bomb disposal team was removing the land mine. Security forces have launched an operation to find the attackers.

Meanwhile, according to a report by a think tank, 245 terrorist incidents were reported in Pakistan in the first three months of 2024.
