Who is operating the network from Nepal, not just one or two, 8,774 SIM cards arrested in India

Gopalganj, India. The security agencies have started an investigation into the case of 8,774 SIM cards and Nepali notes seized before the Lok Sabha elections in Bihar’s Gopalganj. According to information, the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) and Bihar ATS are investigating the entire matter. Police and investigative agencies have suspected that this large quantity of SIM cards could be a conspiracy to rig the Lok Sabha elections.

According to the information received during the police investigation, the SIM card was brought to Gorakhpur Airport on a flight from Delhi. After that, three youths from Malda district of West Bengal who came from Nepal got SIM cards at the airport. The entire network was operated from Kathmandu, Nepal. Therefore, the security agencies suspect that the enemy nation China may be behind this. All the three arrested youths have claimed to be residents of Malda in West Bengal. However, as the police received information that both of them are Bangladeshis, this is also being investigated.

SP Swarna Prabhat of Gopalganj said that the police will help the investigating agency in any way. On April 6, the police of Kuchaikot police station in Gopalganj seized 8,774 SIM cards and 10,000 Nepali rupees from a car at Balthari check post in UP-Bihar. The arrested youth told the police during interrogation that the SIM card is used in cyber fraud.

In the police investigation, it has been revealed that some SIM cards are activated and some are plain SIM cards. It has been revealed that the mobile phone found by the police has transactions worth lakhs of rupees. The police are active in arresting the international cyber criminals involved in this gang. However, it has not been revealed how many people are involved. The question has been raised as to who is conspiring to create problems in the Lok Sabha elections by taking so many SIM cards. Who is operating the network from Kathmandu, Nepal? The security agencies and the Gopalganj police are deeply investigating all these matters.
