Kathmandu, May 28 : Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives Chakrapani Khanal has directed the authorities involved in land management not to give hassles and trouble to people while delivering public services. At a function organized here today on the occasion of 61st anniversary of the Survey Department, Minister Khanal added, “I urge you to perform by properly utilizing your skills and awareness in such a way that would reduce complaints in the areas of survey and in-land”.
He further said that, “We should do justice to people and land. The land use policy would be brought to effect without any delay. There is no option but to adopt scientific method and process to change the existing working style”.
On the occasion, Ministry Secretary Gopinath Mainali stressed the need to prod for the adoption of scientific and modern method on land management keeping in mind the significant role of the Department for economic prosperity and development of the country. At the programme, it was shared that the Department can provide digital data of physical map of the areas of all 753 local governments on demand.
