Biratnagar. Chief Minister of State 1 Bhim Prasad Acharya has said that he will face in the parliament. Acharya is in the minority after 10 lawmakers of the CPN-UML formed a rebellion on Wednesday. Acharya, who is in the minority, has said that he will take a vote of confidence without resigning.
Chief Minister Acharya is confident that the people’s representatives who have come to work for the people will vote for them as their government is made to work for the people. Acharya remarked that the UML had gone to the Unified Socialists and exercised their rights.
Tank Angbuhang, who had joined the UML in the 93-member state assembly in Province 1, has 92 members left after the UCPN-M took action against him. Of them, 519 are from the UML before the split, 21 from the Congress, 15 from the Maoist Center, three from the Janata Samajwadi Party, and one each from the Federal Democratic National Forum and RPP.
A majority requires 47 votes in the state assembly. In such a situation, even the support of two smaller parties does not seem to be enough to save the UML government. Within a month today, Chief Minister Acharya has to get a vote of confidence from the state assembly.
