Kathmandu: The Nepal Press Union (NPU) has expressed sorrow over the attack on journalist Roshan Raj Pandey. In a statement issued here today, Bhishma Raj Ojha, acting secretary-general of the union, expressed sorrow over the attack on Pandey, a member of the Kathmandu branch of the Press Union and secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Upatyaka Pradesh Samiti in Kavrepalanchok on Sunday night.
“The Nepal Press Union strongly condemns the deadly attack aimed at killing journalist Pandey and demands the government to bring to justice those responsible for the attack,” the statement said. The union wished the injured journalist a speedy recovery and demanded free medical treatment from the government.
