Kathmandu: Chairman of the main opposition party CPN (UML) and former Prime Minister KP Oli has claimed that the current government cannot do anything. Oli said that the government is not serious even when various powers are being used against the achievements of the Nepalese people.
Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu on Monday on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, Oli said that there is a need to wonder why a government that can’t do anything is sitting in the government. He targeted the former king Gyanendra Shah and accused the government of showing indifference even though it is searching for favorable conditions like cat and mouse.
Oli also expressed anger that the government did not respond to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City’s garbage collection. He said that the government has not even told the public that the garbage from the Singha Durbar has not been collected by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
President Oli mentioned that the Ministry of Urban Development has contracted the work of collecting garbage from Singha Darbar, but the contractor has not worked and said that the relationship between the government and the contractor needs to be investigated.
He said, ‘We Nepali people have come to a situation where we should be serious. Now, in a comprehensive manner, many types of elements, in many ways, have started to actively advocate against democracy, against the rights of the people. Some people have come out of the nest and started looking like a mouse from the nest to see if a favorable situation has come or not. Nepalese people should be aware. Oli mentioned that efforts are still being made to create a rift among the workers and called upon all the workers to unite and move forward.
