Due to Deuba, membership distribution is against the law: Leader Singh

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has accused party president Sher Bahadur Deuba of violating the party’s active membership distribution rules. He made the allegation at a special program organized by the Kathmandu District Committee of the Nepal Women’s Association at Shobha Bhagwati today on the occasion of the 25th memorial day of Mangaladevi Singh, the founding leader of the Nepal Women’s Association.

Laying a wreath at the statue of the late leader Singh, Singh expressed concern over the problem as the party’s active membership was not distributed as per the rules and regulations and stressed the need for the party president to resolve the active dispute as soon as possible. ‘There has been widespread fraud in the distribution of active membership. The final list should be made public immediately, ”said Singh. The party must move forward in a transparent manner. ‘

Reminding that the Congress was a party that overthrew the dictator, he warned that if anyone tried to become a dictator within the party, it would be dealt with in accordance with the law.  Saying that the active membership list should be made public, Singh said that the leadership would not pay attention when the district chairpersons went on a hunger strike from Wednesday. Nepali Congress Kathmandu District President Sabuj Bania, former Minister Rajendra Kumar KC, and other leaders and cadres were present on the occasion.
