Kathmandu. The Madhav Nepal-led CPN-U will get five ministers in the government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. In today’s all-party meeting, it was agreed to give five ministers and one minister of state to the party of Nepal.
The meeting of the coalition has finalized the proposal made by the task force formed to help Rakar. Accordingly, the Maoists have agreed to have six ministers and one minister of state, while the Janata Samajwadi Party has agreed to have four ministers and one minister of state. The Nepali Congress (NC) has agreed to take over seven ministries.
But it is said that the future of the Council of Ministers will be determined by the rift within the Congress. Senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has publicly objected to the minister’s issue. Dissatisfied with Deuba saying that he was alone, Poudel got up from the meeting and walked away.
