Mahottari: Chief Minister of Province 2 Lal Babu Raut has received a vote of confidence. Chief Minister Raut received a vote of confidence in the state assembly on Wednesday.
Raut received 77, or two-thirds, of the 104 members in the state assembly. After the split of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP), Chief Minister Raut took a vote of confidence.
He was voted in by the ruling Nepali Congress and the Maoist Center and the UCPN (Maoist) in the five-party alliance. Democratic Socialist Party (LSP) and CPN-UML have got 23 votes against him.
