Street lights will be switched off from 9 pm: New decree in Pakistan

Islamabad. The financial condition of Pakistan is deteriorating rapidly. To avoid this, the government is taking strange measures. The Shahbaz government has instructed people to cut their extra expenditure. Under this, only one dish can be served to the guests during the wedding ceremony. All the functions including a procession, Mehendi and valima, and bhangra party will have to be completed before 9 pm. At the same time, unnecessary street lights are also being kept off after 9 pm. Only medical stores, petrol pumps, bus terminals, milk shops, etc. have been exempted.

To save electricity, the government has issued an order that all markets, shopping malls, marriage halls and shops will open till 9 pm. After this section 144 will be applicable. Also, now the government office will work for only 5 days. The government argues that keeping the office closed on Saturday will save about Rs 7830 crore (Indian) annually.

Apart from this, the Shahbaz government on Friday ordered a 40% reduction in the amount of fuel allocated to the employees, giving them the option of work from home. At the same time, the Pakistan Army will celebrate Friday as ‘Dry Day’ and no official vehicles will operate on this day.

According to Fawad Chaudhary, a senior leader of Imran Khan’s party PTI, keeping markets and shopping malls closed at 9 pm is not the way out of the economic crisis. People are paying the price for the government’s inefficiency and misgovernance. Instead of solving the power crisis, the Shahbaz government is leading Pakistan to the Stone Age.
