In 2015, there was also an earthquake in Nepal, more than 9 thousand people died

Nepal Earthquake On April 25, 2015, at 11:56 AM, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal. More than 9,000 people were killed and more than 23,000 were injured in this devastating earthquake. Its center was in Lamjung, 38 kilometers from Nepal. Such a tremendous earthquake occurred in Nepal in 81 years. Earlier in 1934, an 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal and northern Bihar, killing 10,600.

Why does the earthquake come?: According to geologists, the real cause of earthquakes is rapid movement in tectonic plates. Apart from this, earthquakes also occur due to meteor impact and volcanic eruptions, mine testing, and nuclear testing. The intensity of an earthquake is measured on the Richter scale. On this scale, an earthquake with an intensity of 2.0 or 3.0 is mild, while an intensity of 6 means a strong earthquake.

This is how the intensity of an earthquake is estimated: The intensity of the earthquake is estimated from the waves of energy coming from its center (epicenter). This wave spreads for hundreds of kilometers and vibrates. There are even cracks in the earth. If the center of the earthquake is at a shallow depth, the energy released from it is very close to the surface, which causes great destruction.
