Kathmandu. In Morang 2, the main district of Province 1, it is seen that there will be a contest between Congress central member Sujata Koirala, daughter of the late leader Girija Prasad Koirala from the left-democratic alliance, and Rishikesh Pokharel, Morang district president of UML. Morang 2 is the area where Nepali Congress Chairman and former Prime Minister late Girija Prasad Koirala won the elections repeatedly. In a sense, Morang 2 is the stronghold of Congress. Congress candidates have not lost in this region to date. That is why Sujata Koirala chose Morang 2, her father’s area.
A total of 13 candidates, including 3 independents, are contesting in the House of Representatives in Morang 2. Being the stronghold of late leader Girija Prasad Koirala, Sujata is confident that she will win, while UML candidate Pokharel has claimed that he is strong and a local resident and is always working to solve the problems of the people, so he will be easily won by the locals this year.
