Giving a vote of confidence to the Prime Minister is a serious mistake: Shekhar Koirala

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has said that the party made a grave mistake by giving a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. In the meeting held in Battisputli, Koirala said that even though they did not vote in the meeting of the party’s performance committee, it was passed by the majority. We will not give a vote of confidence to Dahal in the performance committee meeting. The Congress said that it should remain in the opposition, but after the majority decision, it was forced to give a vote of confidence, the participant said, quoting Koirala’s words in the meeting.

Koirala said that Prime Minister Dahal was positive about the President, but now that post has been vacated by the Congress. Although Dahal is positive towards Congress, the power partner parties are not positive toward Congress. Therefore, the issue of giving the President to Congress is no longer in Dahal’s hands.

There is no point in giving a vote of confidence to Dahal. Koirala said that the issue will now be discussed in the Congress Central Committee meeting. In the central committee meeting held on the 15th, there was a discussion about the agenda and the latest political developments, and the participants in the meeting made a collective opinion and suggested moving forward.
