Kathmandu. A writ against Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal was registered in the Supreme Court on Tuesday. A case has been registered against Prime Minister Dahal regarding the 10-year-long war-time case. The Supreme Administration also fixed the writ against Dahal on Thursday.

A joint bench of Justices Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada and Hariprasad Phuyal annulled the bench’s order on Friday. A writ was registered against Dahal in the court on Tuesday after the court order was annulled. Advocate Gyanendraraj Aran filed the writ.

Dahal had expressed that he would take responsibility for the 5,000 murders during the war in Tundikhel on January 1, 2079. The Supreme Court had ordered the registration of a writ against Dahal’s statement that he would take responsibility for 5,000 people killed during the conflict. According to the same order, a writ was registered in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Dahal, who is also the chairman of the CPN Maoist Center, said that even though he was told that 17 thousand people had been killed in a program organized on the occasion of Maghi in Kathmandu in 2079, that was not true. Although 17,000 were said to have been killed during the Maoist armed conflict, he said that the figure was incorrect and he said that he could take responsibility for 5,000.
