Kathmandu. The head of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Balendra Sah (Balen) has said that the work of reviving Bagmati civilizations should be the first priority. Addressing the first national conference of the Judiciary Committee, which started on Wednesday, he made this statement.
Lipulek and Limpyadhura can be saved if the previous wealth and civilization can be preserved. He said, ‘We are trying to save the Bagmati civilization. This is a pre-human civilization. I had requested that only yesterday, protect the first property, then Lipulek will be saved, and Limpayadhura will also be covered.
Similarly, Sah suggested to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal that this government should last for some time. Speaking at the conference, Mayor Sah said that there are many things that the local government cannot do alone, and coordination will be easier if the government is sustained. He said that if this government lasts for some time, coordinating will be easy for him.
Our local government is a permanent government, for five years, Balen said, as it is now, honorable members, and ministers are here. Their government does not last and sometimes it is difficult for us. Honorable Prime Minister, even if the government lasts for some time this year, it will be easy for us to coordinate. Why more things are connected? There are many things that the local government cannot do alone.
Similarly, he asked the deputy heads who are also the chairpersons of the local-level judicial committee present in the program to create an environment to give justice to their own areas. He said every municipality should be given the impression that there is a lion palace and a government. Indeed, the government is not only in Singha Durbar but the municipality is in the municipality, and justice is not only in the center but municipality in the municipality. Speaking at the event, Mayor Sah said that you should not walk to Kathmandu Metropolitan City for 11 days to seek justice. Let such justices be resolved in your own municipality. You are also responsible for this.
