Islamabad. Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, has been arrested by the Pakistani Rangers. According to reports, Imran Khan was arrested from Islamabad High Court. He had reached the High Court to appear in a case. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) issued a warrant to arrest Imran on May 1. He has been involved in the Toshakhana case for a long time. In this case, too, the sword of arrest was hanging over him. In such a situation, the question arises that if Imran has not been arrested in the Toshakhana case, then what is the case in which Imran is so badly involved?
Actually, this case is related to Al Qadir Trust University. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) registered a case against Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Biwi, and several leaders associated with Imran Khan’s party PTI last Wednesday. When Imran Khan was the prime minister, his wife Bushra Bibi, and some other PTI leaders formed the Al-Qadir University Project Trust. Its purpose was to establish Al-Qadir University to provide quality education in Jhelum, Sohawa district of Punjab.
It is alleged that Imran and his wife illegally occupied the land of the residential complex for this university. For this, both of them threatened the richest personality in Pakistan, Malik Riaz. It was also revealed that Imran’s wife Bushra Bibi asked for a five-carat diamond ring. In addition to this, former Prime Minister Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and other PTI leaders have also been accused of causing a loss of 190 million pounds to the National Treasury.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been arrested outside the Islamabad High Court. The police did not come to arrest former Prime Minister Khan, the Pakistani Rangers (paramilitary force) did. In the current situation there, the intervention of the army in the government cannot be ruled out, so the ISI and the army have planned to arrest Imran Khan together. Imran Khan may have been arrested by army commandos disguised as Rangers. Imran is very popular in Pakistan, so the information about his arrest could be leaked from the local police, so the Pakistani Rangers were brought forward.
Imran Khan’s arrest was not sudden. Efforts were being made for this for a long time. Although the case reached the court, the government tried to imprison him several times, but his party prevented him every time. This is why Imran’s arrest was kept secret. The army commandos may have come wearing the uniform of Pakistani Rangers. PTI will not keep quiet after Imran’s arrest, it was already predicted.
After Khan was arrested Khan’s supporters attacked the army headquarters in Rawalpindi. There has also been commotion at the house of the Lahore Army Cantt and Corps Commander. Tear gas was also used in many places. Even in Peshawar, the demonstration of PTI supporters turned violent.
PTI workers also blocked roads and staged demonstrations in Lahore. Islamabad police quoted Inspector General (IG) Akbar Nasir Khan as saying that the situation in Islamabad is normal. He said that section 144 has been imposed in the federal capital and action will be taken against violators.
