Hindu religion has taught us to behave equally with others: Shankaracharya

Chitwan, May 19 : Srimad Jagat Guru Shankaracharya Swami, Nischalananda Saraswoti, has spoken against fatuous publicity of religion. At a reception held by the Civil Reception Committee here on Friday, the Swami said the Hindu religion has taught us to behave equally with others. “Hindu religion has not discriminated against or for anyone,” he said.
Shankaracharya said politics should not interfere in the religion. He called for conservation of the Sanatan Hindu religion and expressed his opinion on making Hinduism Nepal’s state religion. At the programme, Harihar Sanyas Ashram Devghat’s Priest, Gyanananda Saraswoti, and Mahesh Sanyas Ashram’s Priest, Ramanananda Giri, warned that inability to conserve and protect Sanatan Hindu religion could bring a range of problems in the country.
Dayaram Pandey, on behalf of the Civil Reception Main Ceremonial Committee, and Devghat Area Development Committee’s Chair, Tankanath Poudel, honoured Shankaracharya with a reception. Rallies were taken out across Bharatpur before the reception. RSS
