The operation of trains between Jaynagar-Janakpur remained closed since 2014. Nepalese narrow gauge trains ran till 2014, but due to the long journey of the trains, the consumption of coal was high. About 800 crore rupees have been spent in the construction of this railway line between India and Nepal. Where under the 69.08 km project from Jaynagar to Bijalpura and Bardibas, in the first phase, the operation of the train started on about 34.9 km long Jaynagar to Janakpurdham-Kurtha rail section. The work of about an 18 km long rail section from Kurtha to Bijalpura has also been completed. Whereas the Nepal government will soon get a 16-km railway line from Bijalpura to Bardibas.

Now it will take only 12.50 rupees to go from India to Nepal. The fare for Jaynagar to Inerva is Rs 12.50, for Khajuri Rs 15.60, for Mahinathpur Rs 21.87, for Vaidehi Rs 28.125, for Pahekha Rs 34, and for Janakpur Rs 43.75 and for Kurtha Rs 56.25. Will take
