To advance the campaign of building alternative political power in a new way: (Jaspa) Federal Council Chairman Dr. Baburam Bhattarai

Kathmandu. Federal Council President of Janata Samajwadi Party (Jasapa) Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has put forward two options for his party in the meeting. Presenting a political report at a rally in Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon, Bhattarai said party reorganization was necessary. He further added that the reorganization of the party has become a necessary and unavoidable historical necessity in both cases.

Stating that the extended meeting will decide how to reorganize the party, he has put forward two options. First, to advance the campaign of building alternative political power in a new way. Second, to continue to cooperate, polarize and integrate with the forces that have the same ideas, policies, and programs.

Addressing a gathering of leaders of his own party at a program organized on the eve of the Jasapa’s split, Bhattarai said the government has not been successful in its approach to pro-people governance and economic policy formulation.

‘The approach to defending the constitution and constitutionalism by defeating Oli’s regressive move is correct and positive. No country’s state power could be without a government and there were no other constitutional and political measures left, ‘Bhattarai said. However, the government does not seem to be very successful in terms of people-oriented governance and economic policy making. He said that the government has not been able to implement the essence and spirit of the minimum common program decided by the coalition.

‘During the tenure of this government, serious problems arose in the economy and financial administration of the country. The country has been facing a year-long liquidity crunch, which has yet to be resolved. Foreign exchange reserves are weak and at risk. Corruption, inflation, and high prices have skyrocketed, “he said.” The finance minister has been forced to resign after serious allegations of financial crimes were made against him. The governor has been sacked and reinstated in a way that jeopardizes the autonomy and credibility of the NRB, ”he said.
