Beijing. Amid rising cases of Covid in China, China has reacted very strongly to some countries making negative reports mandatory for Chinese travelers coming to their country. China warned on Tuesday that we can retaliate. About a dozen countries have said that the first test report should be negative in the latest Covid test required for travelers going abroad from China. China has condemned this order and said that nothing is acceptable. Countries that have made this recent first negative test mandatory include the United States, Canada, France, and Japan.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said at a regular press conference that some countries have restricted the entry of Chinese travelers only. It has no scientific basis and some restrictions are unacceptable, he said. Ning said China can retaliate based on the principle of reciprocity. Chinese citizens, who have been living under strict restrictions for many years, were only slightly relieved last month. After this, the infection increased again in China. The situation has become such that hospitals and crematoriums are full of covid victims and dead.
At the end of December, Beijing said that there is no longer any need for quarantine for arriving passengers. Because of this, many Chinese citizens who have been waiting for a long time to travel abroad have faced problems. Many countries have blamed China’s lack of transparency in disclosing the data on Covid-19 and the new versions as a reason for banning foreign travel. After lowering the criteria to count such deaths, China has recorded only 22 deaths from Covid-19 since December, which is believed to be completely untrue.
