Kathmandu. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has again passed the politics exam and succeeded in becoming the Prime Minister for the third time. After assuming office in December 2022, Dahal won the vote of confidence for the third time. Only recently, Dahal broke political ties with the Nepali Congress and allied with the CPN-UML led by former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
In the Federal Parliament on Wednesday, 157 votes were cast in favor of Dahal, and 110 votes were cast against. Dahal needed only 138 votes to win the vote of confidence. However, one member abstained from voting. A total of 268 MLAs were present during the voting in the Parliament building.
