Lawmakers-elect from Rasuwa say post-earthquake rebuilding is their priority

Kathmandu, Dec 23 : The newly-elected lawmakers from Rasuwa district have said that reconstruction of the structures damaged by the April 25, 2015 earthquake is their first priority. Speaking at the ‘congratulatory cum thanks-giving’ programme organized by the Democratic Alliance Rasuwa at local Basundhara today, they said the reconstruction of the infrastructures damaged by the mega earthquake in the district would be on top of their list of priorities.
House of Representatives member-elect from Rasuwa constituency no. 1, Mohan Acharya said they would coordinate with the National Reconstruction Authority for expediting the post-earthquake rebuilding in Rasuwa, one of the worst-affected districts. He said that they would also work for resolving various problems related to roads, drinking water, irrigation and hydroelectricity development in the district.
State Assembly member-elect from Rasuwa constituency 3 ‘A’, Prabhat Tamang said their efforts would be directed to the development of Rasuwa including as an international transit point. Another State Assembly member-elect from Rasuwa constituency ‘B’, Prem Tamang stressed on the need of developing Rasuwa as a model mountainous district in terms of development. “We would always work for the promotion and expansion of tourism in Rasuwa district,” he said.
