Kathmandu. The Department of Veterinary Services has said that bird flu has been seen in Kathmandu as well. The department issued a press release on Sunday stating that bird flu has been detected in the chickens reared by the farmers of Gokarneshwor-3 sand in Kathmandu.
It is mentioned in the release that experts have been mobilized in coordination with the local level to control this disease, especially in birds. The expert team has stated that the chickens in the area have been destroyed.
The department has also requested to pay attention to the disinfection of the farms by adopting biological protection methods in the poultry farms for the control of bird flu and also in the transportation of poultry and poultry products. Earlier, bird flu was seen in Chitwan.
