Kathmandu: Nepal is among the top 10 most polluted cities in the world. In the capital city, Kathmandu ranks sixth. According to the 2021 World Air Quality Report released by the Swiss company Aquair, which monitors air quality, Nepal is among the tenth most polluted countries.
Bangladesh has become the most polluted country in the world. Chad and Pakistan are the second and third most polluted countries, respectively. Tajikistan is fourth and India is fifth. According to data compiled by Aquarius, no country was able to meet pollution standards in 2021. Of the cities surveyed, only 3.4 percent met the criteria.
The report is based on air quality data from 6,475 cities in 117 countries. Similarly, Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, has become the sixth most polluted city in the world. India’s overall pollution level looks bad. New Delhi has become the most polluted city in the world. With this, Delhi has become the most polluted city in the world for the fourth consecutive time. The report states that 63 out of 100 most polluted cities in the world are in India.
The second worst capital city is Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, the third is Chad’s N Dijamina, the fourth is Dusanbe in Tajikistan and the fifth is Muscat in Oman.
