Saint Lucia. West Indies won the series 2-0 after defeating Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the last match of the two-Test home series played in St Lucia. West Indies won the first Test by 7 wickets. On the fourth day of the match, Bangladesh had set a target of 13 runs for victory in front of the Windies in the last innings, which the team achieved without losing any wicket.
For West Indies, the hero of victory in this match was Kyle Meyers, who was instrumental in giving West Indies a vital lead by scoring 146 runs in the first innings. He was also the highest run-scorer in this series. In this series against Bangladesh, he scored 153 runs at an average of 76.50. He was awarded the man of the series title.
Bangladesh lost 4 wickets for 54 runs on the fourth day. Bangladesh started the fourth day with 132 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. On the score of 148, Alzarri Joseph gave Bangladesh the first blow of the day by dismissing Mehdi Hasan.
After this, Ebadot Hossain, Shoriful Islam, and Khalid Ahmed could not support the wicket-keeper batsman Nurul Hasan at the other end and all three players returned to the pavilion without opening an account. Earlier, West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first. Bangladesh was bundled out for 234 in the first innings. In reply, West Indies scored a mammoth score of 408 runs. West Indies took a lead of 174 runs on the basis of the first innings.
